Dr. Tim Passmore has been senior pastor of Woodland since 1996. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Samford University, his Master of Arts in Christian Education and his Doctorate of Christian Education in Leadership from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has four children - Emily, Michael, Alex and Abby. He is a passionate baseball fan and sailor.
Jennifer Passmore
Director - The Woodland Academy
Jennifer basically does everything. She is the glue that holds Woodland together. She's the REAL boss around here. But seriously, Jennifer is multi-talented and is known throughout the community as an expert in education and child development. She plays a vital role in the success of our Woodland Community Academy which houses our Fine Arts Academy, Preschool Academy, Elementary Academy and Middle Academy. She is passionate about brain development and loves working alongside her 3 daughters every day at Woodland.
Dewayne McFarlin
Executive Pastor & MISSIONS LEAD
Affectionately known as D$, Dewayne serves as our Executive Pastor at Woodland and has served in that role since November of 2015. Coming from many years on staff with Lifeway Publishing, Dewayne brings a unique perspective on ministry and management that has helped our Woodland campus grow. Without Dewayne's leadership, we may not have seen the build out of the Treehouse for our Kids Ministry or the Lounge for our Student Ministry. Under Dewayne's leadership, we are also now underway on the construction of our brand new Academy Building which will house our new staff offices and our ever-expanding Dunn Prep and Fine Arts Academy. Dewayne is husband to Lynn, and dad to Britney and Katie. He loves traveling and missions.
David Piedt
worship Pastor
David has also served in churches in Florida, California and South Carolina. He is married to Evie and they have a young daughter Eliana whom they adopted one year ago. David received his Bachelor of Music in Education degree from Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi and his Master of Music in Worship from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. David is multi-talented vocally and also through playing several instruments. He regularly leads worship from the piano and guitar while also utilizing other instruments to enhance the worship experience to help people connect with God. He has a heart for being creative in how we help others come to know God personally and to grow in their faith in Him.
Jaakan THompson
Adult Ministries Pastor
My name is Jaakan Thompson but everyone calls me Jay! I was born and raised in Miami, FL which makes me a fan of Cuban food and the Miami Hurricanes. I met my lovely wife Jessica Thompson at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. We have 2 daughters, Jonelle and Jaycee Grace. I have done ministry in Miami, Pittsburgh, Nashville and Chicago. One of my favorite joys in ministry is to witness the power of God's love change someone's life. I look forward to being a part of what God is doing at Woodland Community Church.
Danielle DeJesus
Woodland Church Spiritual Formation Director &
Woodland Fine Arts Academy MINISTRY DIRECTOR
Alongside her position as Ministry Director for WFA, Danielle also is our Spiritual Formation Director for our new Woodland Academy for Adults and our IMAGINE program. Danielle is married to Angel and has 2 great kids, Ezra & Gia! Danielle loves kids of all ages and enjoys watching them grow through all ages and stages of development. Sunsets on the beach are her happy place and spending time with her family (and 2 🐶🐶) fills her love tank! Oh, and she visits Starbucks a little too regularly!
Sammy Duran
Middle School Pastor & Activities Director
Sammy has been involved with Student Ministry for over 10 years. He loves seeing Students connect with God and take the Next Step in their story with Him. He’s a big kid at heart and firmly believes there is no wrong time to listen to Christmas music. He’s an avid runner and an Arizonan-turned-Floridian who still hasn’t adjusted to humidity or sweet tea after 15 years.
Connor Long
High School Pastor & Young Adult Pastor
Connor has been serving in the student ministry at Woodland for 5 years now! He's a recent graduate of the University of Central Florida and initially grew a passion for student ministry when he was in High School. His freshman year of college he became the Woodland Students Intern, and from there he fell in love with Woodland and all that God was doing here! He's excited to see all that God has in store for our students, and loves helping them with their walk with Christ! Connor is also an avid Chipotle goer and a huge Tampa Bay Lighting and Buccaneers fan!
MIke Wilder
Children's Pastor & Director of Awesomeness
Mike has been serving in full time church ministry for over 15 years as a Children's Pastor. His desire is to see children grow up to be like Jesus. He believes church should be fun, exciting, and safe for children of all ages. Mike would consider himself as being a big kid doing a job that he loves…telling kids about Jesus in relevant and creative ways. Mike and his wife Brittany have been married for 15 years and they have 4 kids, Rilynn, Ansley, Lucy, and Calffrey. When he isn’t serving the families and kids at church, he enjoys running, camping in his RV, Disney, sipping black coffee, and telling dad jokes.
Jenny McKindles
Director of Communications & Member Engagement
Jenny moved to Florida, from Michigan, in 2019 for the purpose of ministry at Woodland. Jenny has 3 sons Bronson, Maxwell, and Carter. She is committed to helping people find freedom in a relationship with Jesus Christ by using the gifts, talents & experience the Lord has given her. Jenny's education at the University of Michigan and her vast experience in Sales & Marketing brings a strategic and creative plan for communications at Woodland. Go Blue!
Jordan Schultz
Technical Director
Jordan was born and raised here in Bradenton Florida. He traveled as a full time missionary for two and a half years before becoming the Technical Director for Woodland at the end of 2015. Jordan is married to his best friend Savannah Schultz.
Cindy Totty
Director of Financial management
Cindy has been a part of the Woodland Staff family for the last thirteen years. She has worked in the Accounting field for 36+ years with the last 20 years being in the Nonprofit sector. Cindy enjoys spending time with her family and especially her new granddaughters.
Melanie Richards
Executive Assistant to Lead & Exec Pastors
Melanie's family came to Florida from northern West Virginia in May of 1999 and she joined the staff at Woodland two months later. She says "I have witnessed God doing amazing things through the leadership of this church and consider it a privilege to be a part of it."
Sylvia Kursawe
Administrative Assistant/ Designer
Sylvia has been on staff at Woodland for 17 years and has been privileged to watch the school and church grow over those years. Sylvia is not only the person you will most likely speak with on the phone when you call, she also utilizes her passion for art and design to help all ministries of the church and school with design work. Sylvia is a mother and grandmother. Her favorite verse of Scripture is Hebrews 13:2 “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.”
Dan Osborne
Content Creator
Dan has a long history with Woodland, from a baby in the nursery to being a full-time staff member. Presently, he is betrothed to his future wife Sydney, and has a Bachelor of Digital Media and Design from Southeastern University. Additionally, Dan is a sponsored Disc Golfer and travels the state for tournaments. He is looking forward to what God will do through Woodland in the future.

Worship Assistant
Zach grew up in THIS church! He spent most of his young life serving at Woodland, going on youth retreats, and leading the youth band in worship. Now, he is an experienced Composer/Arranger and enjoys using the skills he has gained to help all of Woodland’s ministries. Zach has played and assisted with directing worship at multiple churches and is thrilled to be back at Woodland!

Lynn is married to Dewayne, Executive Pastor. Lynn and Dewayne moved to Florida from Tennessee in 2015 for warmer climate, beautiful beaches and to help care for Dewayne’s elderly grandparents. They have 2 beautiful daughters, Britney and Katie that bring much joy and laughter!! Lynn is an accountant with years of experience in the non-profit business sector. She has also volunteered in Children’s and Youth ministries for the majority of her adult life. She considers it a blessing to be able to blend the two together here at Woodland!

Cameron Rogers
Young Adults Coordinator
Cameron serves as the Young Adults Coordinator here at Woodland. With nearly 10 years of experience, Cameron brings a diverse ministry background from the international humanitarian sector, urban inner city, and action sport ministries. After completing his B.S. at Southeastern University and M.A. at Biola University, Cameron is eager about keeping the main thing the main thing - people finding life change in Jesus. He is excited to help Woodland Young Adults find community, fall in love with Jesus, and reach others.
Stacy Kolbe

Stacy serves as our IMPACT Teams Volunteer Coordinator. Stacy and her husband believe in sharing the love of God with everyone they encounter. That includes their 5 children, countless kids that have been welcomed into their home, and anyone they meet. She believes every person wants to be seen and every person is equally important to God.
Melissa Wolford
Database Administrator
In obedience to God's calling, Derek and Melissa moved here to Florida three years ago from Maryland with their three children- Ophelia, Camden, and Annesleigh. Derek and Melissa have been married for almost 13 years. She has always served at their local church, including the one her father pastored for many years. Homeschooling their children is her favorite, and considers it a blessing from God. Because God's Word is her passion, she truly tries to instill Deuteronomy 6:4-9 in her families lives.
Lauren Hoza

Lauren assists the Family Ministry Teams. She has a wonderful husband, Jack and a beautiful baby girl, Hazel. She graduated with her Bachelor's in Ministerial Leadership and is currently getting her Master's in Counseling. She is passionate about helping people find healing and strength by following the Lord. Lauren enjoys playing board games with friends and family, reading, and of course eating new foods with her foody hubby!
Judy LaRowe
Financial Assistant
Judy is nearly a native Floridian after moving here at the age of two! For the past 29 years she has served on staff at a sister church in various support roles. She loves spending time with our family, especially their grandchildren. It is a joy to continue serving the Lord on staff at Woodland.
Remy Pozo-Pratts
Maintenance Lead
Remy has a knack for fixing pretty much anything that is broken or in need of repair. He is responsible for the maintenance of our entire campus and making sure that everything is in working order. Remy is also known for his big heart and will stop whatever he is doing to help another staff member or campus visitor in need. We are thankful for Remy!
